Flatball Connect is an app for ultimate players, made by Bala Malaivendan (“we”). This says what the app collects, why, who else is involved, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- You can use the rules, quiz, drills, strategies and videos without an account.
- An account is needed only to post or join games, and to keep your saved things across phones.
- No ads, no analytics or tracking, and we never sell your data.
- You can delete your account, and what's linked to it, at any time from inside the app.
Without an account
What you save (drills, playlists, quiz answers and progress, settings) stays on your phone. We don't receive it.
What we collect, and why
To create your account and send sign-in and password-reset codes.
Only usTo identify you in games, and to count MMP and FMP players for mixed games.
Signed-in playersShown beside your name in games.
Signed-in playersSaved drills and lists, playlists, quiz answers and streak, progress and your teams, to keep them in step across your phones.
Only youTitle, place, time, description, and your display name as organizer, so other players can find and join the game.
Anyone using the appWhether you're going, interested, or can't make it, so the organizer and players know who's coming.
Signed-in playersYour message, an optional screenshot, the app version and your phone's system version, and, if you're signed out, an email for a reply if you give one. To fix problems and plan the app; we get an email when one arrives.
Only usA username and a time, to slow down password guessing. Deleted after a day.
Only usYour location
If you allow it, Find a Game uses your phone's location to show games near you. It's sent with that search and not stored. You can say no and search by place instead. The places you pick when you post a game are stored with the game, as above.
Photos
The app reads a photo from your library only when you choose one, for your profile or a bug report.
Notifications
Game reminders are scheduled on your phone. We don't send them, and no notification data leaves your phone.
Who else is involved
We use a few services to run the app. Each receives only what it needs, and your phone's internet address, as any website would.
Stores accounts, saved data, games and bug reports.
Sends the sign-in and reset emails, and our bug-report alerts.
Plays the videos in Watch, through its official player, under Google's privacy policy.
The map and the place search. They receive the area you're looking at and what you type into the search.
Hosts the daily video list, quiz updates and, on Android, the check for a new test build.
Opens only if you tap Directions, in Google's own app or website.
Donations are made in your own UPI app or on Ko-fi, never in Flatball Connect. We never see your card or bank details, only what our bank or Ko-fi shows us about a payment (such as the amount and the payer's name). The Support page reports donations only as monthly totals, never with a name.
How long we keep it
- Your account and everything linked to it: until you delete your account.
- Bug reports and feature requests: until we've dealt with them. If you delete your account, they're kept without any link to you.
- Failed sign-in attempts: one day.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → tap your profile → Delete account. This deletes at once your sign-in and email, your profile and photo, everything you've saved, games you organized, and your place in other games.
You can also ask us to delete it without the app.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details in the app (Settings → tap your profile), and delete your account at any time. You can also write to us to ask what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to raise a complaint, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the law where you live. We'll answer within 30 days.
Children
You need to be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian first. If you think a child has created an account without permission, tell us and we'll delete it.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Your email and saved data can be read only by you and by us, and your profile only by signed-in players, enforced by the database itself.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. For a change that matters, we'll say so in the app's version notes.
